What’s Happening:

  • Carolina Opry – The Christmas Show of the South. One of the highlights of the holiday season.  Each year is original with a new spectacular show specially crafted by Gilmore. Many beloved favorites appear each year, along with new talents to enchant the audience.  Voted the best tradition for over thirty years. Visit the website for times and pricing.
  • Alabama Theater – The South’s Grandest Christmas Show. Celebrate the season with classics, family tradition, and create new contemporary memories. Pulling together talent from across the nation featuring song, dance, comedy and more.  There will be entertainment for everyone in the group of family and friends.
  • GTS Theater – Referred to the Cabaret style Theater, it’s the feel of the theater that will bring you in.  Several different shows are being exhibited the next two months.  Come and feel the music through Motown Tribute Show, Elvis Live, Comedians, and more.  But don’t forget this time of year with the Motown Christmas Show.  Tis the season!   • Pirates Voyage Dinner and Show – A part of the Dolly Parton Company, follow the tale of Captain Scrooge as he learns what Christmas truly means. And as the story unfolds, take in the acrobatics, life-size toys becoming a part of the scene, and mermaids.
  • Medieval Times – Knights, jousting, laughs, and horses! Have course after course brought to you while watching a kingdom defending the queen. And you experience the day in the life of a knight, eat like a king!
  • Legends in Concert – A family-friendly show appropriate for all ages. The state-of-the-art theater is located conveniently in the heart of Myrtle Beach at Broadway at The Beach. You will be entertained with performances from many tribute artists including Elvis, Michael, Blues Brothers and more.
  • Nights of a Thousand Candles – The night is a glow with candles south of Murrells Inlet at Brookgreen Gardens. Admission for these magical evenings are Saturday, Sunday, Thursday, and Friday starting on November 26th.  A true Low Country tradition at its most elegant.  This is a time for family, friends, simple togetherness enjoying holiday melodies and warm cider.

November:

  • Veteran’s Day Ceremony – November 11th at Myrtle Beach Convention Center at 11 am. Free Parking is available at the Convention Center. Held by the Military Appreciation Committee and the City of Myrtle Beach.
  • Dickens Christmas Show and Festivals – November 10th thru 13th also at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center from 9 to 6. An exciting annual event that brings shopping, and entertainment from individuals across the nation.  This Victorian Holiday Marketplace is help with shopkeepers and vendors wearing period pieces selling their crafts, foods, holiday specials, crafts and more. This is truly an exceptional experience including Santa!
  • 2nd Annual Palmetto Literacy Council Charity Golf Scramble – November 14th at Pine Lakes Golf Course starting at 8:30 am, registration starts at 7:3 am.  This is held to support the Palmetto Literacy Council, volunteers.  Awards will be given, raffles drawn, and many different competitions within the tournament including Mulligans, 18 holes, groups, and more. https://palmettoliteracy.org
  • Myrtle Beach Invitational – November 17th, 18th, and 20th at the HTC Center on the campus of Coastal Carolina in Conway. This the perfect opportunity to see some of the best college basketball has to offer. https://espnevents.com/myrtle-beach-invitational/
  • Annual Tree Lighting – November 19th Market Common from 6 pm to 8pm. One of the best times of year because Santa is coming! Join the annual tree lighting with music, carriage rides, holiday yummies, and more festivities! From 5 pm to 8 pm there will complimentary carriage rides.  At 6pm, Santa will be here, be ready for photos! Celebrate the festivities from 6 pm to 8 pm.
  • The Great Christmas Light Show – November 21st to December 30th in Little River from 5:30 to 9:30. Explore and meander through this captivating celebration of lights.  This is a 2-mile ride through Holiday Spirit. Santa will be visiting Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from November 25th through December 11th when he heads back to the North Pole.
  • Turkey Trots – November 24th look around the area for Turkey Trots! Market Common, Barefoot Landing, Surfside Pier.  
  • 38th Annual Intracoastal Christmas Regatta – November 26th 5pm. Gather at Docks. Come together along the edges of the Intercoastal Waterway at Docks Marina.  This is a gorgeous light display floating down the river.

December:

  • 16th Annual River Town Reindeer Run – December 3rd from 8 am to 10 am at the Conway Marina. Take the 1-mile run/walk through the historic downtown Conway that starts and stops at the marina.  Or participate in the 5k.   • North Myrtle Beach Christmas Parade – December 3rd on Main Street. Take time with family and friends and watch the floats and locals put on a wonderful parade representing the locals.
  • Breakfast with Santa at the Hard Rock Café – December 6th, 13th, and 20th December from 8 am to 9:30 am.  Price includes an amazing breakfast buffet and a picture with Santa!
  • Under the Lights 5K – December 7th in downtown Conway starting 6pm. Participate in this beautiful evening with a lighted course and gorgeous holiday displays. Dressed up for the festivities is optional! And if you wish to bring your favorite 4-legged buddy, take the 1-mile walk following Santa to the Christmas Village.
  • 8th Annual Santa Crawl on the MarshWalk – December 10th from 5 pm to 9:30 pm at the Murrells Inlet MarshWalk. Delicious food, and holiday drinks for the different restaurants along the walk. Dress as your favorite Christmas character or just festive! Secret Santa will be wandering in and out of the crowd with presents.  You must register between 5 pm and 7 pm for the chance to win prizes.
  • Holiday Golf Cart Parade at Barefoot Landing – November 11th starting at 3 pm at Barefoot landing. Have fun! Decorate your golf cart in the most festive way for the opportunity to win prizes. Register for $10. Visit the Barefoot Landing for the registration information.
  • Christmas Lights Trolley Ride – December 21st to 28th at Memorial Park in Surfside Beach. Rides run from 6 pm to 8 pm.
  • La Belle Amie Yuletide Bonfire – December 27th – Take the time by a bonfire, take it easy by listening to enchanting music as you take in the evening with friends and family. All one needs to bring is lawn chairs.
